Love bird

Love Birds are a type of small parrot that are best known in the form of the Peach Faced Lovebird. They are 13-17cm (5-7 inches) long, and sturdily built. For their small size they have large beaks. The often weigh 40-60 grams, making them heavier than the similarly sized Budgerigar. They originate in Africa and Madascar.

Love Birds are very demanding, and have lots of energy. They require at least an hour of Human-Birdy interaction, especially if they are kept alone. They need a large cage, similar to Budgies, and lots of toys.

Lovebirds are VERY loud, and may disturb neighbors in an apartment complex or town house, and so are best kept only in houses. They also have a knack for chewing on things they shouldn't, so keep them away from wires and plants.
