Macaw

Macaws (Ara, Anodorhynchus, Cyanopsitta, Primolius, Orthopsittaca, and Diopsittaca) are the largest of all pet birds. They are mostly endangered or extinct in the wild. They are very loyal to their owners, but if they are upset they are capable of severly injuring you, although not as bad as Cockatoo could. They are very intelligent and preferr to be treated as a child over a pet, and will make this very clear. They are also very loud. They are loving pets, and will protect you as loyally as any dog if they see fit. They are also much more demanding than dogs, needing hours of your time everyday. Only captive-bred Macaws are sold, due to their wild status.
