Small Animals

Small animals primarily include mammals such as hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, rabbits, mice, and rats. Most small mammals are nocturnal, but depending on the type of animal, some are able to adapt to alternative sleep cycles. When raised and kept as family pets, small animals do not tend to require much work/attention from their owners when compared to more traditional pets such as a cat or dog. Small animals tend to be a favorable choice when choosing a pet for a family with small children, as their small size poses less danger to a child. Small animals are more better at accepting being stroked or cuddled!
